See your debt-free date. Enter up to 10 debts, choose Snowball (smallest balance first) or Avalanche (highest interest first) from one dropdown, and the planner builds your month-by-month payoff plan. It calculates both methods side by side, so you can see how much interest Avalanche saves and how much sooner Snowball gives you your first win.

HOW TO USE IT

Google Sheets (free): Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, open it with Google Sheets, then File > Save as Google Sheets. The method dropdown, formulas and charts carry over (chart styling may differ slightly).
Excel: Open the file directly. Works in Excel 2019, 2021 and Microsoft 365, and in LibreOffice Calc. No macros.

1. Enter each debt’s balance, APR and minimum payment
2. Add any extra amount you can pay each month and your first payment month

GOOD TO KNOW
